Ypapanti's sanctuary has been a superb example of religious
and architectural beauty for over 85 years. The church building was
designed in a basilica Byzantine style with three
apses facing the east.
The apses, together with the icon screen of over 30 biblical scene
icons, form
the church's sacred alter. Overseeing the wide nave, central hall of the church, is a
50 ft wide dome ordained with a beautiful Pantocrator. Ypapanti also has a beautiful collection of
icons and other unique articles, some of which was recently loaned to
the Carnegie Museum of Art for an exhibition of local Byzantium Art.
